Android 2.2 'Froyo' to include USB tethering, WiFi hotspot functionality

Android 2.2 'Froyo' to include USB tethering, WiFi hotspot functionality: "

And the good Froyo news just keep flowing in. TechCrunch have flexed their exclusive muscle this morning in revealing their discovery that Android 2.2 will come with built-in tethering and WiFi hotspot support. That means you'll be able to use your phone's 3G internet connection to hook your laptop up to the worldwide webosphere, with a choice of wired or wireless methods. Of course, this dreamy scenario will be subject to the big bad network operators permitting -- or at least not forbidding -- you to do such awesome things with your hardware, but at least we know the goods are being baked into this forthcoming release from Google. Frozen yogurt for all!

18 More Cities to Get Sprint 4G This Summer

18 More Cities to Get Sprint 4G This Summer: "

Sprint has been hard at work rolling out the U.S.'s first 4G wireless network. The new network, based on WiMAX technology, is currently available in a select number of markets, with many more on the way. On that note, Clear, who is Sprint's partner in crime, has put out a press release today with a whole new bunch of cities that will be blanketed with 4G coverage over the summer. This means that more people will be able to take advantage of the EVO 4G, which is expected to launch in June. The press release also mentions Comcast's involvement.

The list:

• Kansas City, KS

• Rochester, NY

• Syracuse, NY

• Orlando, FL

• Tampa, FL

• Jacksonville, FL

• Daytona, FL

• Nashville, TN

• St. Louis, MO

• Salt Lake City, UT

• Merced, CA

• Modesto, CA

• Stockton, CA

• Visalia, CA

• Wilmington, DE

• Grand Rapis, MI

• Eugene, OR

• Yakima and Tri-Cities, WA

With the above cities added to the current list of 4G markets, Sprint's plan to cover 120 million people with 4G by year's end doesn't seem too far off.

16GB;

Sistema di previsioni meteo;

Possibilità di collegarsi in Bluetooth o WiFi all’iPad o iPhone

Proiettore LCD per mostrare ovunque le foto del nostro iPhone o iPad

disponibili in diversi colori

Skype to roll out five-way video calling next week, remote partying to surge

Skype to roll out five-way video calling next week, remote partying to surge: "

Well, it's taken long enough, Skype! Starting next week you will finally be able to video call with up to five people using the company's Group Video Calling feature. The beta, which will be available sometime for download during the week of May 10th, will initially be free, but Skype plans to start charging for the multi-party video fun later in the year. We're not sure if it will support HD calling, but you can bet your bottom dollar that corporations may consider replacing their surely complex videoconferencing setup with this. In other Skype news, the company is rolling out new calling plans to more than 170 countries -- from the looks of the PR after the break, it seems like it could end up saving you big time in comparison to the pay-as-you-go rates. We like savings, sure, but we'll be even more stoked should this ever land on camera-equipped smartphones and tablets.
