Come abbiamo spiegato nell'articolo Tutte le edizioni di Windows 10: eccole presentate IoT Core è un'edizione tutta nuova di Windows 10 con cui Microsoft desidera entrare sin da subito del mondo e nel mercato dell'Internet delle Cose (IoT).
Gli sviluppatori possono interfacciarsi facilmente con i nuovi dispositivi, pensati per essere costantemente collegati alla rete Internet, che saranno sempre più utilizzati nel settore della domotica, dell'automazione e della robotica.

Avevamo presentato Windows 10 IoT Core già qualche mese fa: Windows 10 si installa su Raspberry e Arduino.
Oggi questa particolare edizione di Windows 10 esce ufficialmente dalla fase di 'preview' e viene rilasciato sotto forma di Public Release nelle versioni per Raspberry Pi 2 e Minnowboard Max.

I dispositivi pilotabili con Windows 10 IoT Core non sono dotati di un display: installandovi la speciale edizione di Windows 10, estremamente leggera, tuttavia, essi potranno essere gestiti da riga di comando.
